Build Week Two

We have now completed week 2 of build season! We are still enjoying all the challenges that come at us and all the exciting moments. The team has been hard at work in all aspects.
Build has been working on prototyping for the subsystems and working on ideas for more permanent parts. They have now completed working prototypes for the climb and the intake systems. They are still working on storage, but it is not far behind! As our drivetrain is in sight, everything will be assembled this week to finish our prototype robot. They have also been busy building field pieces for us to practice with in the coming weeks.
Software has been busy putting all the subsystems into the code like the climb, the shooter, and the control panel, so that once the robot is assembled it will be coded and ready to go!

Design has been using Solidworks to prototype parts of the robot like the intake and storage alongside the build team. They have also been designing individual parts of the robot to add to the drivetrain and work towards the finished product.
Business was really excited that one of our sponsors dropped by to see how build was doing and to present us with a cheque! In addition to this, they have been busy planning an exciting event for team members, sponsors, alumni and families of members as well as continuing to reach out to sponsors.
Media has been working on swag for the team including shirts and sweaters so we can represent our team with pride when competition season comes around. They have also been working on videos and taking shots of build season so that we can share our experiences with the everyone!

Safety has been keeping up with their weekly meetings and making sure that everybody is being safe while having fun!

Check back next week to see what we have been up to in week three!
