The Business and Marketing team is gearing up for a pancake breakfast. It's a small but meaningful effort to connect with you, our sponsors, and our community and add a bit of camaraderie to our busy schedule. We have also been learning how to use a Cricut machine to engrave parts for our updated pit. Here is the weekly video this week .

Another week of build season is complete! We had a great week so far with the great progress being made on the robot in both the building and coding aspects!

Week 2

Build team has accomplished a prototype for our shooter to consistently shoot rings into the "speaker". Build had also worked on building the swerve drive chassis. We had some of the build team start creating the field in our cafeteria by taping lines on our practice field so we can start testing our robot. This is a painstaking task because the spacing must be perfect or else our pre-programmed autonomous mode will not be accurate for competition.

Kickoff - Week 1

On January 6th, FIRST Robotics released 2024's season game allowing us to start planning, designing and building this year's robot. Every year, a local kickoff event is held where WWFRO (Waterloo Wellington FIRST Robotics Organization) teams meet to participate in educational seminars learn about the game.

End of preseason

Our team has also been hard at work over the course of our training season. Aside from rookie training and veteran knowledge expansion, each subteam has taken on special projects to increase productivity and efficiency throughout our build season. Build underwent a complete reorganization, CAD practiced designing entire robot assemblies in under 90 minutes.

Breakfast with Santa

Our team recently volunteered at breakfast with Santa put on by the St Jacobs Optimist Club. There was a great turnout with lots of friendly people and kids. There were lots Opportunities for the kids to have fun, they had a toonie auction, face painting, coloring pages and the opportunity to visit Santa.
